Waldorf education was created by Rudolf Steiner, a German, according to his own theory---Anthroposophy. Generally speaking, Waldorf education is holistic education which pursuesharmonious development between body and mind and it is people-oriented. This educationadvocates that school should decide what to teach according to the law of consciousdevelopment, so that human’s body, organism, soul and spirit could develop appropriately. Theauthor’s understanding of Waldorf education can be summarized as one words which says it’s theeducation which is closest to human being and their hearts. The author goes into ZhangbaqiuKindergarten with the belief and expectance of Waldorf education. The second part of this paper displays all things happened in ZhangbaqiuKindergarten when the author applied Waldorf education into practice. First, the mission of kindergarten is to protect children’s growth and development ratherthan to make commercial management. Secondly, the key quality of kindergarten teachers is theability of love and they should company children with love. Thirdly, parents pay much attentionto children’s learning and neglect the law of children’s development, so parents should changetheir mind. And this needs communication between parents and kindergarten teachers. The lastbut not the least one is the reform of education and society.
