With the further development of the socialist market economy and economic globalization, knowledge’s update speeds, the accelerated spread of modern education concept domestic and international situation is undergoing complex and profound changes, the thought and behavior of college students show diverse characteristics as well, so it does not work for college counselors to work only depending on its power influence, such as position and status. We must strengthen its non-power influence if we want to do well in college students’ideological and political work and strengthen its effect. So it is particularly necessary to do further research on the College Counselors’ non-power influence.This article does a further research on the issue. It’s divided into four parts, except the introduction.The first part expounds the connotation and features of the College Counselors’ non-power influence. In this article, the College Counselors’ non-power influence refers to his influence to the college students by his own qualities, ability, knowledge, emotional qualities and behaviors in the ideological and political education process. Its composition mainly includes:firm political position, good moral qualities, extensive knowledge reserves, perfect work ability and scientific methods of the art, healthy body and mind quality. Its prominent feature includes:naturality, internality, long-term development and so on.The second part expounds the role of the College Counselors’ non-power influence. According to this article, there’re many benefits if the College Counselors’ non-power influence works well. For example, it is good for playing the college instructor’s leading role in the ideological and political education; strengthening the ideological and political education’s attraction, charisma; cultivating good relationship between teachers and students; strengthening the effectiveness of ideological and political education, and achieve the goal of the ideological and political education more easily.The third part analyzes the poor performances of the College Counselors’ non-power influence and the reasons for it. The poor performance is Mainly in the following aspects: part of the counselors’ poor professional consciousness, using non-power influence’s self-consciousness is insufficient; prestige is not high, educational appeal is not strong; working enthusiasm is not high, which makes the non-power influence down; exemplary role is poor, educational efficiency is low.The main reasons leading to these problems includes:part of the counselors don’t have a clear understanding about their own professional role; part of the counselors don’t have a high quality; the counselors construction is ineffective; The complex social environment restricts the play of the College Counselors’non-power influence.The fourth part focuses on the way to improve the College Counselors’ non-power influence. The ways includes:counselors should correctly understand their own professional role positioning and improve their own quality; University should attach great importance to the team construction, and optimize the social environment.
