The Ideological and political education is an educational work. College setting up ideological and political theory course is to cultivate the students to be builders and successors with ideals, morals, knowledge and self-discipline for socialist undertakings and causes. As the mainstay and backbone of the ideological and political education in college, teachers of Ideological and political theory course directly responsible for this arduous task, and influence to the shaping of students’ideological personality directly or indirectly. For teachers of ideological and political theory course in colleges and universities, power influence is limited, to give full play to its educational function of ideological and political, the non-power influence is the key. In September2008, the central propaganda department and the ministry of education issued’the opinions about further strengthens the construction of teaching staff of ideological and political theory course’, and put forward constructing teachers’team with high quality of ideological and political theory course. It is a programmatic document that aimed to improve teachers’ quality and strengthen their non-power influence.Teachers of Ideological and political theory course, whose non-power influence is a dynamic process that need to improve and complete continuously. How to translate "documental language" into the real "working language", translate "documental requirements" into feasible "working initiatives", I hinge around this basic issue-"what kind of non-power influence that the teachers of ideological and political theory course should have, how to improve their non-power influence" to think and research. Sorting and clarifying the basic connotation, elements and basic features of teachers’non-power influence. And aim at the main problems that appeared when teachers give play to their non-power influence, analyzing the causes, proposing solutions, putting forward dominant strategy of teachers’non-power influence mainly from the aspects of teachers’ subject and external guide.
