Situation And Countermeasure Of Private-owned Colleges’Orienteering Of Guangzhou

The development of Orienteering has been booming in Guangzhou-based private-owned colleges, which inserts new vigor to physical education. As a mental and physical strength-support sports items, it can not only enhance physical fitness, but also promote the development of students’ teamwork, innovation quality. The survey shows research on the orienteering development in Guangzhou focus on the public universities. Seldom research regarded private-owned colleges as research subjects.Through the literatures, questionnaires, interviews, and statistical descriptive research methods, this research is based on the seven representative private-owned colleges in Guangzhou. The investigation revealed the current development status of Orienteering in Private-owned Colleges in Guangzhou. Countermeasures were put forward as follows:1. The main form of orienteering activities in Guangzhou area focus on the teaching arrangement and training, campus and nearby parks have been seen as the first choice for space. part of students feel dissatisfaction to the limitation of orientation resources.2. Orienteering activities becomes popular within most students, which has been proven by their enthusiasm and strong motivation. Limitation of orientation resources partly influences its development.3.As to the leading role in orienteering, the professional quality of certain teachers need to be strengthen. More training and further learning are practical.4. The equipment and space resources and fund are prior to other similar colleges in Guangzhou area. While investment on renew of simple resources and attention of administers are well inquired.So in this research, countermeasures are put forward to the problems based on the current status on the orienteering development in Guangzhou Private owned colleges. Implications are put forward as well:1. increase input to orienteering from different prospective2. Step up cooperation and resources sharing among this colleges.3. Strengthen the touch and further learning of students.4. Improve the leadership emphasis.5. Enhance and improve the professional quality of teachers through training direction.
