At the beginning of the new century, in order to promote the comprehensive quality education, The Ministry of education of China have issued "The outline of basic education curriculum reform (Trial)", whose announcement marks the beginning of a new round of curriculum reform. The geography curriculum reform makes the reform of high school geography course curriculum objectives, curriculum ideas and implementation strategy. As we all known, Curriculum reform facing one of the main problems is teaching inefficient, the effectiveness of student learning, including students learn passively, low interest in learning, the heavy academic burden, lack of innovation spirit, weak in practical ability and so on. Therefore, to improve the teaching effectiveness of secondary school construction is to deepen the curriculum reform, and to promote comprehensive quality education’s inherent requirement.At present, with the promotion of the curriculum reform, classroom teaching concept has undergone great changes, including the implementation of independent learning, inquiry learning, inquiry learning, learning concepts to trial. Modern teaching equipment, teaching media is widely used in the secondary school classroom. However the ineffective and invalid status situation still has not been fundamentally solved. According to the new concept of geography teaching, effective teaching theory, the new curriculum theory, efficiency construction theory as the guide. From the meaning of teaching effectiveness, characteristics, theoretical foundation to discuss the teaching efficiency of the concept; specific around teacher-student, curriculum, teaching content, teaching methods and other aspects of the geography teaching effectiveness of implementation strategy.This paper mainly research from the following several aspects:The first part, compare the effectiveness, efficiency and effectively, the teaching effectiveness is defined on this basis, and then discusses the relationship between teaching efficacy and effective teaching, teaching efficiency.The second part, the geography teaching effectiveness was defined, and the effectiveness of teaching theory, teaching effectiveness and teaching characteristics of effectiveness are discussed. The third part, mainly around the geographical teaching effectiveness to achieve the theoretical basis, the system elaborated the behaviorist learning theory, hierarchy of needs theory, multiple intelligences theory of learning, discovery learning theory, the thesis describes the tamp theory foundation.The fourth part, through the analysis of students’ psychological characteristics, geography teachers professional quality, geography curriculum goal content difficulty, teaching environmental differences, to explore the impact of geography teaching effectiveness realization factors.The fifth part, based on the definition of the concept of geographical teaching efficiency, teaching effectiveness of the theoretical foundation and analysis of its influencing factors, combined with three parts of the geographical teaching goal, teaching content and teaching methods to discuss the achievement strategy of Geography Teaching Effectiveness.Finally, according to the geography new curriculum teaching effectiveness realization theory and practice summary, related to the main viewpoint sums up, pointed out the current deficiency and the direction of further research.
