For the current period, the issues of poor students of high schools had been a common concern for both society and schools. As a special group people, poor students often meet the problems in study, economic, thought and psychology. To study a case for poor students’ ideological and political education became a very essentially, it helped to understand the thinking and psychology in case to stage a specific ideological and political education by educators, also is good for the integrated development for poor students.This article puts the ideological and political education for poor students as the research subject. After getting the basic situation of ideological and political education through the investigations, deeply discussed the characteristic of these students’thinking and behaviors, and the found reasons of existing defects of ideological and political education, several proposals have been given. The main article will discuss the issue from six aspects.Part I:"Introduction". Mainly introduced the background of ideological and political education of poor students in university, and discussed about the theoretical and practical purports. It also showed the research trends in both China and other countries, and clearly defined the bound of concepts of ideological and political education of poor students.Part II:Describing the necessity of ideological and political education to poor students. The article believes that the ideological and political education did benefits to the integrated development of poor students, and also helped the realization of equity education and the construction of harmonious society. Another advantage of ideological and political education is that it developed lots of quality inheritors of modern society.Part III:Start a survey in Shanxi Agriculture University, the subjects should include both normal and poor students, record the results and get the basic view of how student see the poor student group, the national stipend and the other issues related to poor students. Part Ⅳ:Stating the current reality of the ideological and political education. First of all, significant progress has been achieved so far, however, in the ideological and political education, there still existing some problems need to be faced on:the certification mechanism deficiency, the lack of education and the supporting methods.Part Ⅴ:Analyzed the underlying reasons of the issues during the ideological and political education. The major course is the working mechanism is defective. Since the poor students group has its own features, and with the lack of understanding of this special group by educators, and the credit system is incomplete.Part Ⅵ:Proposing some strategies to improve the education of ideological and political for poor students. First, the problems need to be solved from the root, which related to the finance issues, government need to develop the economy of the rural area and to assist the unemployment families to get works, also to improve stipend system is another urgent issue should to be done. On the other hand, the educators should process the core values education; using the bi-directional interactive communication and build up a harmonious college circumstance for poor students.In conclusion, the research results of this article not only provide some valuable information and evidences but also gives educators some inspiration to perfection their works during the ideological and political education...
