A Case Study Of High School" Problem Students"Conversion

The high school stage is an important stage for a person to step to adult, it is a stage of shaping people’s philosophy and values, and it is a stage that will affect people’s future. However, the high school students are easy to separate to different groups in the face of big pressures from the study, the eleven-plus and the simple and bald school life. For the students good on study, they concentrate their energy on study. While for the students’ bad on study, they are always not interested in study but have nothing to do in school. They can’t find the interesting on study but on the other hand, they can’t leave school. So they always sleep in the class, or disturb the class by talking, or hang around the gangs out of the school fighting and making troubles. This may bring them to the crimes, which will give hurts to the family, school and the society. That kind of students is the "problem students" we called. How to bring the "problem students" back on track is a tough but meaningful work for us to do. When and only when we have good study to the factors that make a student become a "problem student" and the process how he/she becomes a "problem student", and then we can find the ways to help them walk through the troubles and be good students.This research is trough the analysis to the cases of turning a "problem student" to good student to find the factors that make the "problem student" in four aspects-family, education, society and the "problem student" themselves. And by the study to the factors, the author will take the "problem student" examples the author meets in his daily teaching to expatiate the strategies how to take the "problem student" back on track. The author thinks the "problem students" they have the willing to change themselves. Human being is a social animal, it affected by the gene, circumstance and education, but on the other hand, human being has initiative. Therefore, the author thinks the main method to put the "problem students" back on track is to change the circumstance.around the "problem students" and give them helps to make the "problem students" to feel rich on the mind, feel happy from being respected by others and feel they are one member of the class. All of this will give the "problem students" hopes, and initiate their willing to make changes.
