Studay On The Development Situation And The Countermeasures Of The Campus Fottball Activity In Primary Schools Of Zhengzhou

The serious decline of teenagers’ physiques and the poor situation of Chinese football compel thedevelopment of campus football activity.In2009April, the State Sports General Administration and the Ministry of Education jointlyissued a notice for the first time since the founding of our People’s Republic:"The notice on thedevelopment of national youth campus football activities". This project is carried out in more than2000primary schools and junior middle schools in44cities of China. The notice said that the four level systemsof league football matches in primary schools, junior middle schools, senior high schools and universitieswould be set up gradually in the future. The project is first started in primary schools and junior middleschools. The campus football activity is an educational project. Schools are regarded as the basis and thegovernment plays a leading role in this activity. In order to establish a main long-term training channel,different kinds of advantages and resources in the education system and the physical education system areintegrated and centralized in school. It not only pays close attention to the football skills development ofthe adolescents, but also stresses on the improvement of students’ comprehensive qualities, such as thephysical and mental health training, the ideological and moral cultivation, the improvement of students’cultural and science knowledge, etc. Zhengzhou is the only one city in Henan province which has beenselected in the first batch cities in this project.30primary schools which have carried out the campus football activity in Zhengzhou areinvolved in this research. With reference to the objectives and the contents of campus football activity, thepresent study aims to make a survey on the development situation of the project in these primary schools,and to reveal the factors that influence the development of the activity and puts forward somecountermeasures that can make the development of the campus football activity more reasonable and morebalanced.This study adopts the methods of literature review, questionnaire survey, mathematical analysisand interview to make a investigation on the development situation of the campus football activity. Throughthe detailed study and analysis, this research draw some conclusions as follows: influenced by the traditional ideology, some school leaders have an insufficient understanding on the philosophy of thecampus football activity, consequently, the activity is not carried out effectively; most of the students andparents have shown great enthusiasms on the activity and their participate motivations is relatively rational,while still there are some persons who have shown their negative attitudes towards the activity due to thesafety considerations and their cognitive bias; the flag atmosphere of the campus football culture affects thesustainable development of the campus football activity and the teachers’ and the students’ enthusiasms inparticipating the activity; the uneven conditions of the schools’ sites cannot satisfy the need to universalizethe football activity; the low professional qualities of the campus football instructors affect theimprovement of the teaching and training level to a certain degree; the development situations of theactivity are not balanced among these observed schools, and the difference between the traditional footballschools and the new emerging schools is significant.
