| With the developing of science and technology, the research about emotionalquotient has attracted people’s attention and concern. The psychologist dividespeople’s intelligence into IQ and EQ. EQ is a psychology concept which related to IQ.EQ is the Emotional Intelligence, which includes the ability of self-awareness, andself-management, the ability to self-motivation, and the ability to identify feelings ofothers, interpersonal skills. The middle-school ideology and politics teaching is themain channel of School Moral Education; it plays an irreplaceable important role in theprocess of the students’ EQ education.At present there are still have some phenomena of playing emphasis on the basicknowledge, while ignoring emotional education of the students in the curriculumpractice. Students can not be optimistic about the emotional intelligence factors,mainly lack of emotional stability, and lack of positive optimistic attitude towards life,and lack of will-power. This paper aims to study to apply EQ education to Ideologicaland political teaching at middle school, and provide teachers with some suggestions inthe Ideological and political teaching.This paper is divided into five parts and they are as follow:The First part is the introduction and it mainly describes the background, purposeand significance of the study, the Comprehensive description at home and abroad, thepurpose of the study the methods of the study as well as the shortcomings in theprocess of innovation.The second part is about EQ education and some related theoretical grounds. Itmainly defines the meaning of EQ education and introduces the development of EQeducation as well as some related theoretical grounds according to the EQ theory athome and abroad.The third part is about the necessity to apply EQ education to Ideological andpolitical teaching. This part mainly describes the importance of EQ education inIdeological and political teaching at middle school, which should get the teachers’attention. The forth part is about the problems that exist in Ideological and political teachingand this part mainly points out the problems after using New Curriculum Reform as aguide in Ideological and political teachingThe fifth part is about the principles and measures of applying EQ education toideological and political teaching. This part mainly researches into the actual measuresthat should be taken in ideological and political teaching to cultivate students’ EQaccording to the guidance of new curriculum reform, students’ development demandsand the characteristics of ideological and political teaching in middle school. |
