Today when quality education is vigorously promoted, there is no doubt that emotional education has become one of the concern of the educational theory and practice. Emotional education, a form of the modern education, means that in the educational teaching activity, the teachers fully consider cognitive factors and play a positive role in emotional factors to improve the teaching process, realize the targets of education, enhance the teaching efficiency and promote students’individual harmonious development, thus facilitating the healthy development of the whole society. In addition, emotional education, which is a part of the educational process, requires teachers’ attention to students’attitudes, mood, emotion and even faith so as to achieve the targets of teaching activity. Ideological and political classes in senior high school, as a course aiming at students’education of political quality and moral accomplishment, needs to solve not only the problem "know or not", but also the problem "believe or not". This requires ideology and politics teachers to add emotional factors and play the emotional education’s positive role in the teaching process of ideological and political classes to improve the teaching efficiency and students’learning effect.In this paper, the first part is introduction what mainly introduces the research background, the current situation of domestic and overseas scholars’research about emotional education, namely literature review, the significance and methods of the research. The second part is the main body of the paper:The first chapter is mainly about the meaning of emotions and emotional education, and introduces the relationship between ideological and political classes and emotional education as well as the necessity of emotional education in ideological and political classes of senior high school; the second chapter introduces the main problems of methods and teaching process of emotional education in current ideological and political classes of senior high school; the third chapter mainly analyzes the problems’cause of emotional educational in current ideological and political classes of senior high school according to problems and teaching; the fourth chapter is divided into two aspects—the first aspect chiefly analyzes all kinds of emotional factors involved in ideological and political classes of senior high school, providing bases to some extent for discussing optimized way of emotional education in the second aspect and the second aspect simply explores how to optimize the emotional education of ideological and political classes according to the emotional factors of ideological and political classes and analysis of causes in the third chapter.
