The Experiences Of The University Pennsylvania’s Social Donation And The Enlightenments To China

Seeing from the development of the society of China, education played a key role in changing the international status、economic situation and race features of China. Education has become an important criterion to measure the situation of China’s economic development, it was the impetus of our nation’s prosperity as well. Since the higher education is on the top level of the whole education system, colleges and universities is the base to cultivate persons of ability, its place and importance is self-evident. With the deepening of reform and the change of economic system transformation, the development of higher education in China has entered a new historical period. However, it is irrefutable that the higher education still have to face a lot of problems, the first one to solve is the shortage of education funds. On the other hand, the establishment and maintenance of U.S. colleges and universities depends on the social donations, take the University of Pennsylvania for example, it has a long history of donation, it helps them to solve the lack of educational funds, there is a lot of experiences we can learn in raising funds from them. We should start from the social donation of a certain university, take the particular to the general way, then analysis the overall state of the U.S. social donations. Association with the current situation of donations in China’s colleges and universities, find the insufficient in our system, reach a conclusion of the feasibility of proposals.This paper mainly discusses from the following aspects:The first chapter is the simple introduction of research background、trends、value and methods.
