Occupation expectations (Job Expectancy),also known as the occupation intentions of workers, is based on the workers’ yean for the existing occupation cognition on specific occupation, means his/her ideal tendency about the occupation that he/she can be engaged in.What kind of occupation the university graduates will choose is so inseparable to their occupation expectation? The study of university students’ occupation expectations has very vital significance to help students improve their studying, change their university life, design their own occupation planning reasonably, and promote the growth of college students and even can contribute their all-round development. According to the existing literature we can found that the individual’s self evaluation and social support system has the certain influence for the personal occupation expectation. My tendency to write his article is try to find the correlation between through by practical investigation and data. In view of this, this study used the questionnaire survey method, researched through509college graduates from5universities in Changsha of Hunan province about their occupation expectation and personal evaluation, the characteristics of the social support and discussed the relationships among the three.Based on the descriptive statistics, factor analysis, correlation analysis and linear regression statistical analysis about the effective questionnaire data, some conclusions are summarized as follows. Overall, graduates’ professional satisfaction is relatively high, and the satisfaction through professional of professional did not differ between each other.Gender differences are not obvious in the plans after graduation. These graduates choice situation varies a little between years. University graduates come from Changsha City mainly concentrated in Chang-Zhu-Tan area and the southeast. But, graduates of salary expectations are some kind too high.It can be seen from the project sort of the occupation expectations that what graduate students employment first valued is the prestigious position of meet, followed by the self-value realization and development needs. As the view of gender, males tend to see whether they can obtain employment platform for the continued development of the space or not, and girls care that whether their posts can realize their own value.Through the inspection, we can found that gender differences in the aspect of self evaluation level of the existence, and the degree of social support on gender also has obvious difference. It can be concluded from the factors analysis that of the yielded three factor are related to the occupation expectations, the social support and personal evaluation of rank correlation analysis. Reputation and personal evaluation have significant correlation, namely that the higher the value of self evaluation is, the more they care about whether they can achieve high status on their occupation expectation job; The stability、self realization、development and personal evaluation of correlation, which means it had a significant positive correlation; The prestige and social support had correlation, too. We can found from study that the self evaluation level and the degree of social support are likely to be the factors that affect the university graduates’occupation expectation, regression equations revealed that the self evaluation of occupation expectation has positive operation. Therefore, the practical significance of my study was to provide a reference for the employment guidance of the institutions, and to help undergraduates form a positive self-evaluation, and meanwhile providing a necessary social support. Thus undergraduates may have reasonable career expectations in the course of employment, and ultimately they may achieve the purpose of satisfactory employment.
