Ageing in the world has been formed within a be a trend which cannot be halted the tide, which caused many social problems, especial in the increasingly heavy burden of the social pension has caused the crisis, to adjust the retirement age as countries in the world taken in response the best policy. As an emerging developing countries, China faces the situation is more grim, but china’s current retirement system basically still follows the initial requirements. Academic and civil society on this issue has been to maintain a high degree of attention and inspire debate. Therefore, the question of retirement age is a sensitive and hot issue of the academia.Starting from the unique perspective of working age, both micro and macro perspective to study the factors that influence people to make work or retirement option. At the microscopic level mainly in the individual as the analysis object, the use of labor leisure model to analyze the role of the reservation wage, market wages and individual labor preferences and other factors in the individual work or retirement decisions. At the macro level, society as a whole analysis of the object, the specific analysis of the average life expectancy, population structure and human capital status and other factors, and thus will affect the whole community together to explore how to make a decision in line with the expectations of society as a whole, and individual utility maximization and social utility maximization is consistent.
