Firstly, the author has a summary of sources and the existing research onproject method; secondly, on the basis of the existing research with personalteaching practice, the author analyzes the features of the vocational students andChemical professional course. Then I gives the Project design basis according tothe text and the real life and further analyzes the steps of implementing projectmethod in the vocational chemical courses and the requirements for the teachersand students. Meanwhile, I illustrates it combining with the teaching case;lastly,I tests the teaching effectiveness of Project teaching method in the vocationalchemical courses by experimental research method, and draws a conclusion thatit’s workable and necessary to use project teaching method and can be effectivein improving chemistry teaching quality. This subject study aims to, through the implementation of project teachingmethod in the vocational chemical courses, change the present situation ofstudents’ passive accept knowledge, construct a student-centered teaching mode, stimulate students’ interest in learning chemistry, promote students cooperationability to communicate, information processing power, independent learningcapability, innovation ability and professional ability and so on, improve thechemical teaching quality in vocational school and provide some references forthe teachers engaged in chemistry teaching.Practice shows that, compared with the traditional teaching methods, boththe students and the teachers generally prefer project teaching method. Usingproject teaching method, teachers don’t directly present ready-made of learningmaterials to the students, or directly infuse knowledge to students. Students arethe main body of learning, teachers should correctly guide and lead students toconnect theory and practice through project activities, students in practice notonly find the new knowledge, grasp the new content, but enhance the interestand initiative to study chemistry, cultivate them the integrativeabilities, such asthe cooperative communication ability, independent learning ability and analysisand problem solving ability and so on. At the same time, teachers, in the processof project teaching, widen their minds, enhance the adaptability to changes andimprove their professional level. Teachers and students work together to makeprogress in the course of completing the project.
