In2001,China began to carry out a new round of curriculum reformof basic education.The IT curriculum reform in high school is a majorchange in the basic education curriculum reform.Based on the newrequirements for IT courses in high school,students are expected to solvepractical problems through the acquisition of IT theory and thecooperation with the partners;students are expected to take a goodcommand of IT and feel the culture of the information through theprocess of dealing with information;students are expected to becomewell-educated citizens with good information literacy requirements toadapt to the information age. There is no denying that some problemson traditional teaching have been solved. However, they are still someremaining problems which violate the requirements of curriculumreform in high school.Fortunately, Students-centered teaching methodhas proved to be a good guidance for carrying out the curriculumreform and contributing to the healthy development of the students.With the guidance of the educational philosophy,"highly valuingstudents;relying on the students;teaching for the students",the study isbased on the practice of IT teaching in high school, which lasts oneyear,trying to explore an efficient and sustainable developingmethod.On the basis of the analysis of the "students-centered" teachingmethod in IT,the article puts forward the detailed teaching methodsand approaches concerning three periods in teaching process,that is,teaching before class,teaching in class and teaching after class.Thedata collected from the questionnaires among the students inexperimental class show that great improvement has been made instudents attitudes towards learning IT,students enthusiasm in learningIT,and students learning efficiency.In conclusion,the efficiency of classteaching has been improved. Studies have shown that student-centered teaching is more conducive to improve studentsconfidence, and help to improve the efficiency of classroom teaching,which is more conducive to cultivate the students information literacy.
