Nowadays, in the context of mathematics curriculum reform, avariety of curriculum standards promote the organic combination ofindependent research, practical experience, cooperation andexchange of learning mode and receptive learning mode, advocatethe organic unity of the learning process which include “doing”,“thinking”, and “talking”. Inquiry learning has gradually been the greatimportance of education reform, and it has become a hot topic in themathematics education research in China. But the development ofmathematics materials which based on inquiry learning theory are rare.So the author develops the mathematical inquiry learning materials.The content of this paper is the development of mathematicalinquiry learning materials and teaching practice. First of all, On thetheoretical discussion, I explore and reflect on the new curriculumcontext of mathematical inquiry learning, the teaching materialsdeveloped theory through the approach of documentary research.First of all, Combined with the characteristics of mathematical inquirycourse, the characteristics of mathematics, and the characteristics ofinquiry learning, the author develops the principles of the teachingmaterials development.; Second, the author thinks excellent materialsmust meet the condition of generality and universality, diversity andflexibility, fundamental and practical; and cutting-edge and open,etc.Third, the author builds the general process of mathematical inquirylearning materials development. They are collecting teaching problems;processing teaching materials; developing instructional objectives;Designing teaching activities; Evaluating teaching materials. At last, theauthor explores several typical type of inquiry, and sets a reasonableclassification for exploring the contents of the textbook.On practical discussion, I apply the theory of exploring the teaching materials development to reality. First of all, based on the contents, it isdivided into two kinds of inquiry issues, which is curricular andextra-curricular, and developed a number of typical textbook chapters.Among them, the curricular inquiry issue is: explore the relationship ofquadrilateral perimeter and the length of the diagonal; explore fixedpoint of the trajectory equation. Extracurricular inquiry issue is: explorethe mathematical principles of origami in the right angle equal portions;applied explore of the strategy to catch the train; explore of themathematical bank loans. I used some of the materials above inteaching practice, in order to explore the teaching effect of themathematics inquiry materials. In the teaching process, I found that theuse of mathematics inquiry materials can effectively stimulate studentinterest and prompted students to actively engage in inquiry learning.Finally, on the basis of the practice feedback, I make furtheramendments and guidance for mathematical inquiry materials, and tryto improve the process of mathematical inquiry materials Development,and proposed direction for further research.
