Research On Group Work Intervention In Poor College Students’ Interpersonal Communication

As a special group in college students, especially poor college students suffer from a lot of stress on economy, society, family and even themselves. Their interpersonal communications cause many worries. Nowadays most studies are focusing on the problems, reasons and putting forward the tactics of poor college students’interpersonal communication. Therefore, the author chooses poor college students who have communication problems in colleges and universities as samples and lets the group observed members study and experience in interactive processes under a new mode. Through the intervention of social work affairs and group work method, group members adjust and improve their relationship with others and learn about new attitude and behaving methods.This research starting with an empirical study, which establishes a group work mode to improve the interpersonal communication of poor college students. This mode bases on the interpersonal needs theory, communication theory, mirror theory, field theory and group motivation theory, social support network theory, the main method of the group work, integrated use of literature analysis, questionnaire, interview and the experimental method. At the same time, it combines the theory with practice, and make poor college students get rid of their interpersonal communication trouble through the activities of the group.Conclusions of this paper are as follow:(1)The analysis shows that80.1%of poor students lack of interpersonal communication skills;76.9%are not good at expression;72.3%have feelings of inferiority;71.9%are sensitive and59.4%can not face poverty. Therefore, these are five major factors that prevent poor student’s from taking part in interpersonal activities. In addition, through interviews, it is found that the attitude towards to poverty and lack of communication skills have serious impact on their interpersonal communications.(2)The first measurement of interpersonal relation integrated diagnostic table of experimental group is11.8and the second measurement is8.7. The control group has no significant change which indicates that this group has a good performance. In conclusion the mode of this group has a good effect on the improvement of poor students’ interpersonal relationship in high school.(3) In poor college students’interpersonal communication group, rational use of the casework is conducive to carry out better group activities.(4)It will promote the developments of the member’s interpersonal relationship and relief their mental load psychological stress with suitable resources.Due to limited time and other objective conditions, this paper only choose those poor college students who are freshmen in College of Resources and Environment of Huazhong Agricultural University as study cases. The results can only show the improvement to a certain degree. The mode remains to be tested and perfected in a larger scale.
