Web-based instruction is widely applied to the distance education. Under the circumstance of separation of time and space between teachers and students,teachers are not able to monitor students’behavior,which brings hurdles and challenge to the smooth implementation of Distance Education.Therefore,research on e-learning behavior is of great value.The system of e-learning Analysis and Evaluation includes three modules,that is behavior acquisition,behavior statistical analysis and evaluation.Behavior acquisition is in charge of collecting learners’web logs which are produced in the web servers when learners get access to the server sites. Acquistion behavior includes access start time,access end time,pages visited,number of visits,IP address,referring pages and so on. Behavior statistical analysis module deeply digs the collected datas by adopting data mining technique,and then analyzes these characterization datas,gets learner-related in-depth information such as learning styles, learning preference,emotion, attitude and so on.Based on learning behavior analysis,evaluation module evaluates leaners’learning readiness,learning motivation,learning process,performance and so on。 According to learners’study,evaluation module gives the right encouragement or criticism,and feedback to the students timely,in order to achieve the purpose of supervision and monitoring.The thesis first discusses the background of studies,research status both at home and abroad,research significance,research contents,methods and ideas.Then the thesis focuses on the three guiding theories, theory of Reasoned Action, Triadic Reciprocal Determinism and Stenhouse Process Model.The first two theories guide the research of e-learning behavior,the latter greatly enlightens the research of learning evaluating.Based on the above studies,the following paper describes the system developing environment and key technologies involved, then analyzes and designs these three modules in length.Finally,the paper summarizes the main research work.
