At present, as domestic and international situation is undergoing profound changes, itincreasingly becomes an urgent task of ideological conflicts to develop reliable politicalsuccessors; it progressively becomes a major mission of promoting the development ofsocialism with Chinese characteristics and realizing the national rejuvenation to cultivatequalified builders with both ability and political integrity; it increasingly becomes a difficultduty of responding to the great social concern to foster college students with healthy mental.Ideological and political theory course, as the main channel of college students’ ideologicaland political education, is at an important period of transition.Therefore, it is of practicalsignificance to strengthen the evaluation research of ideological and political theory courseand build evaluation index system for ideological and political theory teaching, which willenhance the college students’ ideological and political education, promote the developmentof Marxist Theory and Ideological and Political Education, further the teaching reforms ofideological and political theory, improve the quality of ideological and political theoryteaching, further intensify the teaching relevance and persuasion. That is the purpose of thisresearch.This dissertation includes four parts:The first part mainly describes the main concepts, essential features and basicfunctions of ideological and political theory course; the meaning, nature and specificity ofteaching evaluation of the ideological and political theory course, and explains the valueimplication of it from the theoretical and practical point of view.The second part first reviews the development process and basic experience ofteaching evaluation of the ideological and political theory course since the founding of China,and then attempt to analyze the current research status of it, pointing out the problemsexisting in this evaluation system.The third part clarifies the theoretical basis, subject, main principles, methods, andstandards of teaching evaluation of ideological and political theory course, laying afoundation for the construction of evaluation index system of this teaching evaluation.The last part puts forward the tentative idea of consummating the evaluation system ofideological and political theory course, according to current research status of it, and thenconstructs and completes the evaluation index system of teaching evaluation of theideological and political theory course.This dissertation chiefly presents the importance of establishing the evaluation indexsystem of the ideological and political theory course, trying to sort out the comprehensiveresearch results of teaching evaluation of the ideological and political theory course, innovatethe guide ideas of evaluation, specific set of the evaluation index, and the index weightconfiguration, construct and complete the evaluation index system of teaching evaluation of the ideological and political theory course, aiming to enhance the value of ideological andpolitical theory course and improve the effectiveness of teaching, and strive for makingcontribution to ensure that ideological and political theory course will play a better role as themain channel of college students’ ideological and political education.
