To improve and optimize the evaluation system of the college ideological and politicaltheory course is of great theoretical and practical significance to strengthen and promote theideological and political theory course and to fully play its role as a major mean in ideologicaland political education of college students in the new situation. In view of the new situationthat the present college ideological and political theory course faces, this paper studies thesubject from three angles, namely,“what is ideological and political theory course evaluation”,“why should we evaluate the ideological and political theory course”, and “how to evaluatethe ideological and political theory course”. By literature research method, action researchmethod, comparative research method and interview method, this thesis tries to study theevaluation system of the college ideological and political education course at present situationin an all-round way, including the designation of its logical framework, the construction of itstheoretical system, the layout of its contents and the practical operation of its implementation.Based on the enlightenment of the previous study results and referring to the new researchresults of the higher education evaluation home and abroad, the author tries to review therelevant theories, and make some innovations in theory, perspective and method, aiming atmaking the evaluation system of the college ideological and political education course morescientific.Therefore, this paper first briefly introduces the evaluation, performance and basic stepsof the college ideological and political education course in chapter2. On this basis, the authordiscusses the fundamental principles, methods and systematic establishment of its evaluationmechanism in chapter3. By making investigation and interview in the preparatory phase ofthe research, the author gets abundant information, and Chapter4is contributed to the deep analysis of the problems and causes found in this direct data. In Chapter5, the authorproposes the new measures to improve the evaluation system of he college ideological andpolitical education course, and attempts to construct a tridimensional and multidimensionalevaluation scheme to it.In a word, this article tries to probe into the evaluation system of the college ideologicaland political education course, and the subject is mainly analyzed on the basis of case study,hoping to have some guiding significance to the curriculum reform of college ideological andpolitical theory course.
