At the end of2004, the first Confucius Institute in the world was founded in South Korea, during the last eight years, the Confucius Institute aboard developed rapidly. By August2011, there are totally353Confucius Institute and473Confucius classroom all over the world, distribution in104countries (regions). Among all the Confucius Institutes in Africa, the Confucius Institute of Cameroon established in the end of2007, it developed rapidly under the guidance of the running mode, which is "one base camp, numerous teaching points". This development mode does lots contribution to increase the number of the teaching points and students of the Confucius Institute of Cameroon; it also played a positive role to expand the Chinese culture influence in Cameroon. The Confucius Institute of Cameroon also wins the praise of the outstanding Confucius institute in2009,2010,2011consecutive. This paper introduces the characteristic of the development model of Confucius Institute of Cameroon, not only rich related micro research in theory of the Confucius Institute of Africa, but also opened a new Angle of view. It also gives some certain reference value to the Confucius Institute of Cameroon and other African Confucius Institutes in the future development, curriculum, teaching material development, etc.The article is divided into five parts. The first part is the introduction, mainly introduces the research background, significance, ways and methods, and the concept of literature review.The second part introduces the background of the establishment of the Confucius Institute. It introduces the cooperation between China and Cameroon in the political, economic and cultural exchanges, and also the Cameroon national education system, including the Ministry of Higher Education, public universities, other public colleges and universities, private institutions of higher education and distance education. Then it has an overview of the Confucius Institute of Cameroon. Including the start, expand and comprehensive development of the different stages of history.The third part introduces the operation model of the institute, which includes the organization and management in the form of the Confucius Institute; Confucius Institute at the situation of teachers and different situation about the nine teaching points in Cameroon. There are six teaching points in the capital, two teaching points in the business capital and one teaching point in the capital of Northern Province.The fourth part of the essay gives an analysis about the characteristics of the running mode of the institute. It raised its culture influence to African countries continuously with its regional universality, the audience population diversity, teaching goal complementary and richness of the activities.The last part of the paper, pointed out that the running mode meet many practice problems and propose solutions to the proposal, which including the quality of teachers, textbooks, teaching point of planning, backward of the network and hardware conditions, etc.
