| Education is first project in centenary plan. In order to make education perfect, the first step is to train a group of educators. Ed.M is a professional degree which is designated to the group who has teaching vocation background. Its aim is to develop the high-level persons who are needed in teaching and administration in elementary education. Compared with the Ed.M of United States, our country’s Ed.M does not develop for a long time and has many defects. Curriculum system is the key point to the development of Ed.M, and the foundation of training target’s achievement. During nearly eighty years, America has gradually explored and formed a set of curriculum system. Therefore, the study takes the educational administration direction of Ed.M for example, focuses on the comparison of two countries’curriculum system, summarizes the beneficial experience of American curriculum system of Ed.M in educational administration direction, and attempts to promote the reform and development of Ed.M curriculum system of our country.The introduction part briefly introduces the background, content and research methods of this study, reviews the research status at home and abroad, and defines some related concepts. The second part introduces the general situation of educational administration direction of Ed.M in China and America from the aspects of training target and development scale. The third part respectively takes five universities of China and America as the cases, and entirely introduces two countries’curriculum system of Ed.M from the aspects of course objective, course offering, course structure, course implement and course evaluation. According to the comparison of two countries’ curriculum system of Ed.M, the fourth part analyzes the curriculum features of American Ed.M, and summarizes the problems that exist in the curriculum system of Chinese Ed.M. Based on the front study, the last part proposes some ideas to improve the construction of curriculum system of Chinese Ed.M, such as making the definite course objective, optimizing the course setting, adjusting the course structure, exploring the various teaching methods and establishing the systematic course evaluation model. |
