In recent years, with the push from national policy and the support from the whole society, the professional master degree programs in China has achieved great development. Meanwhile,it also has exposed more and more problems. Among these problems, the quality of education has become the bottleneck to restrict the further development of the professional master degree programs. Therefore, how to find the effective way of evaluation and through the scientific evaluation professional master degree programs quality to guide its development towards the in-depth, sophisticated direction is one of the emphasis and difficulty in the current higher education reform.A closely related concept to the quality of professional mater degree programs—"the quality of education service" was first appeared in the United States. By emphasizing on the service of professional master degree programs, we can clearly comprehend the characteristics of it. Combining the service quality evaluation with the professional master degree programs are the necessary requirement of the popularization and the marketization of higher education, and it’s also an important measure to integrate with the international graduate student education. In foreign countries, basing on the survey of student satisfaction to evaluate the quality of professional master degree programs has become one of the important means to improve its high education quality.In order to know the situation of the professional master degree programs service quality in China, and benefit its further reform and development, the author choose a famous 985 project college-N university as the research object. Through carrying out the questionnaire research to the students,analyzing the document of the training program of the university and comparing it with that in a famous American university, the author can evaluate the service quality of the professional master degree programs in china. The main research questions are as follows:1. How is the students’overall evaluation of the service quality of the professional master degree programs? 2. What the differences are between the different departments and majors about the educational service quality? Which professions are better,and which issues more? 3. In students’opinion, which factors will mainly influence their satisfaction about the quality of educational service?Through the analysis of the relevant data and the results of the survey,the author found:l.The students of professional master’s degree in the N university are not satisfied with the quality of educational service, the gap between their real perceived education environment, conditions, the harvest and their expectation is larger.2.Regarding the several aspects of the investigation content, the biggest problem existed in the area of students’ service, and the second is the teaching effect. In the aspect of teaching effect, the biggest problem areas were:the effect of the university-enterprise joint training, the employment status, the practicability and the pertinence of the course system, as well as the related training of teamwork and communication skills.3.There is significant difference about the evaluation of the educational service and the perception of the innovative training among different professional students. Master of Engineering in which satisfaction was significantly higher than other majors.4.The correlation between the quality of educational service and the students’ satisfaction is significant. Students reflect the major factors influencing the quality of educational service including the teaching effect, the innovative training and the student services.5.Big challenge still exists in the training program of professional master degree programs, the training target is not explicit and the pertinence of the course is not enough. The students learn more theoretical knowledge, but the application of knowledge is not strong.Therefore, this study suggests that, in order to further improve the quality of professional master degree programs, universities should first increase the emphasis on the professional degree education. Secondly, universities should improve the way of university-enterprise joint training mechanism, establishing the students’practice base. Furthermore, universities should establish a suitable professional master degree programs curriculum to improve the practicability and pertinence of the courses. Finally, the university may set up the administrative evaluation staff system to improve the work of students’service.
