Under the precondition of respecting for high school students’ psychological development characteristics, the author argues that self-management ability of students could be built in the chemistry teaching in senior high school to respond to new curriculum ideas of senior chemistry teaching and satisfy the needs of senior chemistry teaching and life-long education. This research mainly contains four aspects:the definition of self-management ability of students in the chemistry teaching in senior high school, the theoretical and practical basis for the ability trainings, the ways to develop the self-management abilities of students in the chemistry teaching in senior high school, and the advantages provided by the ability trainings.The author looks up relevant articles and books by documents reading in the first place, collects data which can reflect senior high school students’ chemistry study abilities, and then analyses current situations about chemistry learning and chemistry teaching in senior high school by SPSS13.0, reveals problems between students and teachers in the chemistry teaching. Relying on the management structure of students’self-management, this article briefly introduces the methods and cases on how to develop the self-management ability of students in the chemistry teaching in senior high school from the perspective of teaching content classification relating to the above research and analyses in the second place. Finally, this paper introduces the details of training and the establishments of management structure about students’self-management ability. Meanwhile, it lists many theories for how to develop the self-management ability of students in the chemistry teaching in senior high school. It not only demonstrates the feasibility of students’self-management, but also shows the powerful effects of the ability trainings during the process of promoting effective chemistry teaching.
