Corporate social responsibility is an area of great interest, but little is known about how CSR is perceived and practiced in the professional sports industry in China. This study based on Carroll’s CSR theory, employs literature review,questionair method mathematical statistics, interviewing andlogical analysis to find how professional sports club understanding and practice the CSR. In literature review,we found the trends of how resarchers studied the CSR both in coportate and porfessional sports. In questionare method, we got the first-hand information. Then we use mathematical statistics,such as frequences,crosstab, Sperman correlations by SPSS17.0to find out what the relations between to groups or what the porfessional sports club acturlly do in theirs daily opration. Using interview method to find out the deep-seated reason why the porfessional sports practice and understanding CSR in an typical way in China. The survey include questions and open-ended questions, the respondent is the CBA clubs’ managers.The findings we found that sport executives in China placed different, emphases on elements of CSR, the priorities is: Ieagal, economic, ethical, philanthropic. This findings are also different form other Countries especially those developed. The professional sports in China. At last, using logical method to summary what’s the reality in professional sports in China. Besides, using stakerholders to express what the professional sports practice and should practice in CSR. Finally, we give some suggestions for how to practice social responsibility in the professional sport,hope it is useful.
