Population aging is the development of the21st century, the main socio-demo-graphic characteristics, is one of the world is facing a very serious social problem. Since2000, China has entered the aging society and the world’s fastest aging population in one of the countries. Physical health of older people into the family, society and the state a major concernand a national fitness program in our research focus. With age, the elderly male body function level in all aspects of the phenomenon of the gradual emergence of a recession. What more effective way to improve fitness elderly male body shape, physical fitness, physical function, physical function of movement and life satisfaction and qual i ty of life, is the national fitness program in the physical health of elderly men important research content of the one. Therefore, this article by well designed strength training program, a comprehensive and systematic discussion of strength training on physical health effects of the elderly men, elderly men, effective for the prevention, treatment of elderly patients and reasonable physical exercise, to provide a scientific basis for the theory and practice. The main conclusions are as follows:(1) strength training experimental results show that strength training to improve elderly male body shape is very effective, as follows: waist circumference indicators in practice a significant difference before and after, and chest, thigh circumference and an increase in arm circumference phenomenon, body composition indicators of body fat and body fat percentage before and after exercise significant difference in skeletal muscle mass, basal metabolic rate before and after the experiment significantly increased body weight and body mass parameters appear slightly decline.(2) strength training can make older men, a significant indicator of physical changes, as follows: all parts in the strength training exercises before and after the significant increase in maximum power; bit body flexion, eye-hand and eyes closed when a single response standing at the foot strength exercises before and after significant changes occur. (3) strength training for men, elderly physical function were significantly affected, mainly as follows:strength exercises before and after the vital capacity was significantly increased, arm and ankle blood pressure decline, resting heart rate decreased, the blood vessel elasticity level and blood vessels obstruction is almost no effect; lipids significantly decreased triglyceride, total cholesterol significantly increased high-density lipoprotein and low density lipoprotein have experienced an increase, a significant increase in blood sugar; strength exercises before and after bone mineral density in elderly men was upward trend.(4) completion of the elderly men, strength training can reduce the time the action body functions, including sit-stand test and supine standing with significantly reduced when the normal six meters away, back six meters away and tended to decrease the normal400to go only go with a quick six meters when slightly increased. Description strength exercises to help improve the daily lives of elderly men to complete the basic ability to move.(5) strength training for older male life satisfaction and quality of life in a significant impact, mainly as follows:life satisfaction in the pain of the trunk of the factors decreased significantly:quality of life in physical function, general health status and energy increased significantly. Description strength training help to improve the elderly’s life satisfaction and quality of life.
