The traditional Chinese initiation education textbooks contain broad and profoundtraditional culture and vivid human feature formed in the long history. The thesis analyzes theChinese education value of traditional initiatory textbooks in historical perspective,investigates a classical initiation education textbook "the MengQiu" and its analogues, andthen studys their contemporary Chinese education fuctions in Chinese education perspective.First, the thesis overviews the basic cases and thoughts of the ancient initiation educationtextbook, trying to find out the historical origins of our traditional textbooks and the stylecharacteristics of "the MengQiu" and its analogues. Then, from the points of four main factors,such as intellectual, moral, aesthetic and cultural education, the thesis expounds the value ofeducation function of "MengQiu" and its analogues in Chinese teaching, highlighting thecultural and educational functions of traditional textbooks. Finally, refering to thecharacteristics of the "Four Education factors" of the "MengQiu" and its analogues, the ideaand corresponding plan to compile of a modern primary language extracurricular readingbook, named as Classic initiatory textbook-reviewing frequently, are proposed. The Summarysection emphasizes the importance of inheriting the successful experience of traditionalChinese textbook.
