Modern society requires not only the sense of competition, but also the spirit of cooperation.The students are masters of the society in the future. What they need is not only to participatein the community competition, but also to participate in the co-existence and cooperation withothers. To promote changes in the way of student learning were clearly put forward in the newround of curriculum reform of China, including vigorously promotes independent learning,cooperative learning and inquiry learning. There are great theoretical and practical meaningsin the exploration and practice of cooperative learning in junior high school biology teaching.In this study, the status of cooperative learning in the junior high school biology teachingwere investigated by documentary research, questionnaires, seminars visit, on-site observationand case analysis. The results provided the strategies to the practical problems in junior highschool biology cooperative learning by detailed analysis.In this study, the results demonstrated the meaning of cooperative learning in the level ofteaching objectives, teaching organizational form, classroom interaction, and teachingevaluation and the basic elements of cooperative learning, mixed grouping, positiveinterdependence,individual responsibility, social skills and team self-assessment, respectively.The great significance of carrying out cooperation learning in junior high schools wasdiscussed from the implementation of curriculum reform spirit, the changes in the way ofstudent learning, mobilization the enthusiasm of students and the improvement of teacherprofessionalism.In addition, questionnaires and interview outlines were prepared for the current situationsof junior high school biology teaching, which part of biology teachers and students in juniorhigh school of Yantai and Weihai in Shandong province were invested. Our results showedthat there are a lot of problems of junior high school biology cooperation learning, forexample: the unreasonable organized groups, the inappropriate contents, the disorder class,the imperfect implementation of process, the inadequate supervision and regulation, theirrational evaluations and so on.In conclusion, on the basis of the theoretical review and practice survey, combined with theproblems of junior high school biology cooperative learning, I propose the strategies initially:constructing the joint working group scientifically, refining the learning content, clearing the learning tasks, teachers’ participation in guiding the cooperation process actively, establishinga scientific evaluation system and so on.
