Application Of Case Teaching To Biology Class In The Middle School Based On New Curriculum

Case teaching is a kind of teaching methods that using the right case, and students are the main bodyin the process of teaching. The purpose of this experiment is to analysis the case teaching whether adapt tothe new curriculum reform, and to search for the feasibility of case teaching in the high school. In thisexperiment, I extracted two parallel classes from a random sample grade, and one as the experimentalclasses, another as common classes. In comparative classes still according to traditional teaching methods,But in the experimental classes, using case teaching method. This method is based on deep base of theory.For example, the constructivism theory, multiple intelligences theory, the floating theory, and teachingcommunication theory, applying the case method of teaching of biological courses should follow thefollowing regulations: encourage, elicitation, adaptation, proper sequence and graduation, agility, andopening.In order to detect teaching effectiveness of using the Case Method, investigate the situation in theform of examination in the final exam, The paper topic have multiple choice, fills up the topic andexperimental subject, Multiple choice and fills up the topic mainly inspects the students situation ofmastering the basic knowledge, Experimental subject mainly inspects students the situation of using theknowledge and creative thinking. Then analysis each of the average score of knowledge and the part ofusing. Finally, concluded that, although this method can not improve the students’ Total score, But canpromote the ability of saluting actual problem and creative thinking. So this method should be promoted.We will gradually get rid of the shackles of traditional teaching model, and accept the challenge of newteaching mode.
