Study On The Education Of The Awaerness Of Citizen’s Obligation In The Undergraduate In Independent College

In recent years, with the gradual deepening of China’s reform and opening up,and the increasing popularity of higher education, as a type of emerging schoolpattern, independent colleges develop rapidly. Students in independent colleges arethe pillars of society and successors of the socialist cause. University educationshould not only be focused on the improvement of their professional skills, but alsoon the cultivation of their comprehensive quality. And, citizenship awarenesseducation is an important path to improve a person’s comprehensive quality.Citizenship awareness education is helpful to improve the identity of students inindependent colleges on the rights and obligations prescribed in the constitution andlaws, and to enhance the citizen’s sense of rights and responsibilities as well as themission concept, thus laying a solid foundation for college students to build conceptsof socialist democracy and rule of law, freedom and equality as well as fair. Therefore,it has great significance in enhancing the citizenship awareness education of studentsin independent colleges.Through the method of combining theoretical research and empirical survey,based on the overall idea of proposing problems, analyzing problems and solvingproblems, with the guidance of theory of Marxism, this paper briefly discusses theconnotation of the citizenship awareness of students in independent colleges and thenecessity of implementing citizenship awareness education on students ofindependent colleges, investigates and analyzes the status of current citizenshipawareness education on students in independent colleges, and proposescountermeasures to optimize citizenship awareness education of students inindependent colleges on the basis of referring to domestic and foreign researches.This paper discusses this topic from the following four parts.Part one is the presence of citizenship awareness education of students inindependent colleges. Based on affirming the connotation of citizenship awarenesseducation, exploration and discussion are made on the particularity and necessity ofthe citizenship awareness education of students in independent colleges.Part two is mainly to point out the current situation of citizenship awarenesseducation on students in independent colleges through empirical survey, and analyzeproblems in citizenship awareness education of independent colleges.Part three makes an in-depth analysis on the causes of problems in currentcitizenship awareness education of independent colleges, including objective reasonsand subjective reasons.Part four proposes relevant policies to strengthen and improve the citizenshipawareness education of students in independent colleges on the basis of the aboveresearches, which is also the highlight of this paper. Strengthen and improve thecombination of citizenship awareness education on students in independent collegeswith characteristics of independent colleges, and strengthen the party building and institutional building of independent colleges; integrate citizenship awarenesseducation with professional education as well as ideological and political education;prepare a clear targets and key content of citizenship awareness education on collegestudents; adhere to put theory into practice, combine schools, family and societytogether, create a multi-type environment that has a science system, and at the sametime make innovation continuously in education content and methods.
