A Framework Of Implementing Respect Education In English Course Of Secondary School

Respect education, an important concept in teaching, is in the demand of the timesof “humanism”. Its implementing in English course of secondary school, on one hand,can widen and deepen its theoretical research scope; on the other, can facilitate thereform of new English Curriculum by providing new, free, and multiple teachingconcepts for educational workers and offering some practical help for teachers’professional development and students’ individual development. This thesis discussesmostly the implementing issues of the respect education in English course of secondaryschool.On the basis of analyzing the definition of respect education, together with theanalysis on the characteristics of English course of secondary school, this study firstlyelaborates the possibilities and feasibilities of implementing respect education inEnglish course of secondary school. This part plays a prerequisite role for the wholestudy.Secondly，the thesis probes into the implementing status of respect education, thusproviding some critical thoughts for the existing problems. By analyzing the respectconcept in English course from aspects of its aims, principles and processing, thisthesis intends to reveal some very crucial problems, including the contradictionbetween the respect for teachers and that for students, the misunderstanding of respectwithout any punishment, the absence of respect realization of teachers.The last part of this thesis focuses on a constructive framework for implementingthe respect education in English course of secondary school.This study, as a whole, mainly elaborates some contents of respect education andthe possibilities and feasibilities of implementing respect education in English courseof secondary school. And with a careful consideration of its implementing status, aframework for promoting respect for education is proposed, which shall hopefullybenefit the secondary English teaching.
