In the background of demographic transition and large floating population, the, the topic of "surplus men" and "remainder" become a hot social issue. Paper systematically analysis sex radio distribution and its evolution in China since1953. Through Structuring sex ratio change model, based on the previous census data of China, this paper analyzes the changes of sex ratio and its distribution. And the conclusions are drawn as follow:The third part analyses the total population’s sex ratio, and pointed out that since1949, it is high downward trend; before the1980s, regional differences had been narrowing, evolved to balance. After that, regional differences are widening owing to migration and aging of population; town’s sex ratio was significantly higher than urban and rural areas, forming three ladders, town higher than city, which higher than rural areas, but the gap is gradually narrowing.Chapter IV analyses the distribution of sex ratio and the endogenous variables influenced on its change before the1980s. Conclusion is drawn that sex ratio’change mainly affected by the high sex ratio in history and high death rate.Chapter V mainly analyses the distribution of sex ratio since1980, and endogenous variables’influence. Conclusions as follow:Regional differences continue to expand because of extremely region; the influence of population migration on sex ratio’s change gradually came out, while intrinsic mechanism different between different areas.1980s, most parts of the sex ratio is rising, and the coastal areas affected by the birth and migration-death factors reverse effect, inland areas of the two elements in the same direction together.1990-2000, the regional area of sex ratio decline is an expansion, coastal and border areas affected by population migration, death affect, while in the central region; the newborn population is more obvious. Since the year of2000, the population sex structure further balanced development, while individual areas deviated from the equilibrium range due to population migration. The paper also makes the conclusion that the elderly dependency ratio is greater, the sex ratio’s downward trend is stronger; the elderly dependency ratio is smaller, the sex ratio’s upward trend is stronger.
