In order to gain more profit, for the last a few years some public service broadcasters have been intentionally focused on the negative news stories of female college students, for instance:<In another perspective:unfolding the affairs about female college students prostituion services>,<A female college student from Hangzhou makes One Thousand yuan each time for internet prostitution>and etc. This broadcasting bias against female college students make them into public entertainment victims. In view of this social stigma phenomenon, the researcher dug in from the perspectives of social science and journalism, analysising the appearences and causes of the media image bias and social stigma against female college students. This research is focused on the biased correspondences on the Internet and newspapers. By using the social stigma theory, it’s aimed to analyze this phenomenon:the stigma of female college students. From the feminism perspective, the author studied the relevant samples in terms of content and structure. The negative reports on the newspaper regarding to female college students as well as the catabolized and evil image of them built up by the Internet media are the main causes of this social stigma phenomenon. The on-line survey regarding to the media image of female college students is a strongly supportive evidence of how this social stigma was formed. The media cannot truly reflect the group identity of female college students. Furthermore, the social stigma caused by biased mass media reports will negatively influent the female college students on their self-esteem. As a result, the public-stigma and female college students’self-stigma will appear. To female college students, their social statuses will be lower and their self-developments will be hindered, due to consequences of this social stigma. The deeper social cause of these biased reports on female college students is the gender bias of our patriarchy society. Under the media environment of consumerism and pop culture, the character of female college students cannot be truly reflected. In addition, the commercialised cooperation of mass media is another social root of this social stigma. The media image of college students cannot be separated from the social character of the "female sex", due to a combined influence of media, the public and main-stream culture.
