| The Characteristic-oriented University which has the industry background has served for the need of industry for a long time. Because of that, the Characteristic-oriented University has a close relationship with the related industry. Meanwhile, a university which wants to meet challenges and looks for development should not only conform to the law of higher education, but also adapt to the outer environment of regional society and economy. Because the different economic differences and development will have a different demand for professional talents, so if the Characteristic-oriented University wants to keep an invincible position in the competition of higher education, it should make fully use of its own academic advantages, improve major setup, and combine the characteristic majors to the development of the regional economic.Nowadays, there are a lot of studies on the relationship between higher education and regional economy. Also, lots of professors do the research of major setup in universities. But the study of major setup which has the industry background in the Characteristic-oriented University is less. Otherwise, if a good pattern of interaction between the Characteristic-oriented University and regional economy can be found that is useful for the university not only to solve the problems of academic subject construction, major setup, industry interaction, student employment and so on, but also achieve the sustainable development and improve the regional economy at the same time.This dissertation is based on the successful experience of western Characteristic-oriented Universities with the similar background and drawing on that high level training can promote economic development in a better way. Four Characteristic-oriented Universities in Shaanxi Province are chose. I analysis the combination of major setup of Master’s degree and specific examples of regional economy in order to achieve an interaction route of the Characteristic-oriented University and regional economy development. Finally it is pointed out that the university can promote the industry and regional economy and develop itself only in the premise of keeping the characteristic subjects. |
