System Defects And Countermeasures In The Management Of Teaching Staff In Secondary Vocational School

Faculty Management plays a pivotal role in the development of secondary vocationaleducation. It is necessary to enhance the teachers’ capacity so as to improve the teachingquality and train students with special skills well. Establishing a teaching team composedreasonably of sufficient qualified faculties would lay foundation for the development ofsecondary vocational education.The author mainly described the status and underlying problems of the falcutycomposition of secondary vocational education, analyzed the defects of management systemand probable causes, and further proposed reform means following the logical order“problem raising-problem analyzing-problem resolving”. The author first analyzed theconstruction of vocational education faculty in developed countries, such as Germany，Japan， and the United States, and surveyed current situation in Guangzhou. Based on theabove information, the author studied the probably causes of the defects in Chinese secondaryvocational school from the perspective of faculty management system. Finally,countermeasures were proposed to improve the situation in China.This thesis was consisted of five parts. The first part was an introduction of thebackground, significance, current situation, study contents and methods. The second part wasabout the related concepts and theoretical basis. The third part summarized the presentsituation of the secondary vocational faculty construction in China, and analyzed the defectsin faculty management system and the causes according to an investigation of a secondaryvocational school in Guangzhou. The fourth part was about the faculty managementexperience from abroad and other parts of China. The fifth part proposed the countermeasuresfor improving faculty management on the basis of the above study.
