To achieve higher quality of education and meet the challengefrom21st century, with the fresh reform of basic education resoundingaround us, we, as the first-line educators, should ponder over how torespond the continuing reform trend and do something. Due to thenature and target of Chinese subject, it is defined that Chineseteaching should develop towards vast living world, creatively exploringresources, compositing and integrating as well as putting into practice.Rather than take it as “develop towards”, it is more reasonable toregard it as “regression”--regression of essence and nature. Therefore,the rhetoric teaching has turned into the hot spot and core focus.Under the big background, the initial research on this field has made itsdebut for some time, but it is not prevailing in the systemic study on it,making it bearing its value of research and significance ofpopularization.Rhetoric is always the key content of language acquiring, but ineducational circles, insiders’ opinions toward whether it should bevalued and what attitude teachers should hold vary. The thesis isplanned to probe three aspects of Chinese rhetoric teaching, basingon the current situation of that in the junior school.First, to expound Chinese teaching and rhetoric. For this part, authorhas respectively explained the goal, function, rule and content ofrhetoric teaching in the junior school, thus making it clear the directionof rhetoric teaching and finally paving the way of “rhetoric&stylistic”for the Chinese teaching.Second, to analyze the situation of rhetoric teaching in the juniorschool. Taking the new teaching materials of Phase II CurriculumReformation as example, author focuses on the rhetoric teaching ofthat and examination questions relating to rhetoric in the entrance exam for high school since2006, rethinking the current rhetoricteaching profoundly.Finally, to provide optimized strategies for existing problems.Learning rhetoric is to use it, so practice guided by scientific methods ismuch necessary and the Chinese teaching ought to get its highertarget—broadening thought, through the rhetoric teaching.
