How to use words and what kind of sentence structure to express when speaking are all rhetorical activities.As an important part of language teaching,rhetoric teaching is responsible for improving students' language ability and literary language aesthetic ability.However,the effect of rhetoric teaching is not satisfactory,mainly manifested in the weak language ability of junior high school students,the lack of rhetoric awareness.There are many problems in rhetoric teaching: the content of rhetoric teaching is not complete,the arrangement of teaching material is in a certain degree of confusion,the teaching method is obsolete and so on.The reason is that the problem of "what to teach" and "how to teach" in rhetoric teaching has not been solved.Therefore,it is particularly important to find out "what to teach" and "how to teach" in rhetoric teaching.The first part of the text defines the concept of rhetoric and discusses the position and value of rhetoric in Chinese teaching.In the second part,the relevant content of rhetoric in the teaching syllabus and curriculum standards over the years,as well as the relevant content of rhetoric in the current textbooks compiled by the ministry are sorted out.The purpose is to examine the development track of rhetoric teaching from a historical perspective,summarize the current situation of rhetoric teaching and inherit the practical experience of predecessors,so as to avoid repeating the crooked road once taken,and provide the direction for the future development of rhetoric teaching in order to better absorb the research results of predecessors.The third part,in view of the rhetoric teaching existence question,proposed the improvement strategy.Make clear the goal of rhetoric teaching,establish a scientific and reasonable rhetoric teaching system,and put forward the classroom implementation strategy.This paper mainly adopts literature analysis,comparative analysis and other research methods to explore the content and methods of Chinese rhetoric teaching with the purpose of improving students' rhetoric ability and awareness,attempts to provide the theory and the teaching reference for the junior high school Chinese teacher.
