In recent years, with the high school history curriculum reform, moreand more people pay attention to the middle school history subjectexam changes. In this situation, draw lessons from foreign successfulexperience in the history examination, further enrich and perfect ourcountry’ s middle school history examination system is of greatsignificance. The UK, as one of the countries with developed education,the General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE) examination ischaracteristics. British students must take the national certificationexamination, similar to Chinas high school graduation examination, butalso the British university admission of one of the important basis. Thisarticle selects the typical characteristics of the General Certificate ofSecondary Education (GCSE) of the historical examination contents,and their characteristics are analyzed, with a view to the new period ofour country’s middle school history education reform especially theschool history examination, the paper to provide some reference andinspiration.This article uses some historical and educational theory, reviews theGeneral Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE)examination,especially GCSE history examination as the basic situation,and to the Assessment and Qualifications Alliance (AQA) the life of thesystem of GCSE history examination entire true examination questions asthe research foundation, seriously consider the General Certificate ofSecondary Education (GCSE) historical examination characteristic andgive the enlightenment to us.This dissertation consists of an introduction and the main bodyincludes four chapters. The first chapter mainly explains the researchpurpose and significance, research, research method and innovation.The Second chapter, the UK Secondary education system and General Certificate of Secondary Examination (GCSE), mainly introduced theBritish secondary education system especially the examination systemas well as General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE)examination of the basic situation. Chapter third,the GeneralCertificate of Secondary Education (GCSE) historical examinationoutline, the chapter combines the Assessment and QualificationsAlliance (AQA) the life of the system GCSE history exam, discussed theGCSE history examination of the basic profiles, typical test papers andtest and since2009the new reform and development. Chapter fourth,the General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE) historicalexamination has some characteristic and enlightenment. This chapter isdivided into two parts, the first part combines with the Assessment andQualifications Alliance (AQA) the life history GCSE subject test, sum upand summarize General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE) ofhistorical examination has characteristics; the second part,with ourcountry in recent years the college entrance examination of historyexamination paper, analyses and discusses the history of British GCSEsubject examination on Chinas high school history subject examination,especially college entrance examination of the history examinationpapers have some enlightenment function.The results of this study shows that: the General Certificate ofSecondary Education (GCSE)(GCSE) history exam disciplines as aglobal more successful history exam disciplines, one of its experienceand desirable place is worth us deeply. The General Certificate ofSecondary Education has not only pay attention to strengthendiscipline exam questions, thinning of subjectivity and regulate theassessment standards, the reflect civilized history and "new history"concept, and how to associated with history textbooks, and otheraspects of the features, but for our country the high school historysubject test especially the university entrance exam history subject test reform has important reference meanings, including strengtheningrating criteria and the gradient, strengthen the details of the materialanalysis problem of historical and strengthen discipline abilityexamination.
