The theory of Education communication, one of the importantbasic theories on major of education techniques, provides a solidtheoretical support for its development. As Mr Nan Guonong suggests,Education Communication Study is a field that needs to be concerned.As a branch of the Education Communication Study--nonverbalcommunication plays a quite important role in study of educationcommunication even the whole field of communication, it, however,has not caused enough attention by national researchers on educationcommunication.In the process of teaching, nonverbal behaviors occurs on everyminute, from nonverbal behavior of teachers and students to changesof educational environment. Though non-verbal communicationhappens quite frequently in the field of preschool education, domesticresearch scholar pays little attention to it. Taking the activity HandShadow in Sinan Kindergarten for example, this research, throughobserving children’s behaviors, aims to analyze the communicationaleffect of the hand shadow, a nonverbal symbol, on thechildren-oriented activities and the potential value of the hand shadowactivities if applied to the preschool educating etc.Following are the tasks completed or findings made:First, relevant concepts about nonverbal communication aresummarized and carded, by collecting some relevant materials bothdomestic and overseas about nonverbal communication.Second, The finding is that the needs of young children can bebetter identified then to be met by focusing on their nonverbalbehavior in the context of educating.Third, through some methods like on-site observation,photographing, interviews, the research analyzes and explores the lasting vigor of hand shadow, a nonverbal activity, in early childhoodeducation. Some other ways were used, such as discussing on plansand optimizing of hand shadow activities with teachers.Fourth, analyzing. Through deep thought and reflection, preschoolchildrens behavior and the practical value of hand shadow wereanalyzed to better meet the needs of children.Finally, summarizing. Advantages and disadvantages of handshadow that used in kindergarten education were summarized, and itsbelieved that more experience will be accumulated on the one dayactivity to provide reference for further studies.
