Educational administration discipline, in our country after one hundred years especially the development of reform and opening up over the past30years, has made some achievements. It is closely related to the authority organization of educational administration research of Chinese Educational Administration Discipline Academic Committee. However, while making great achievements, it is also very necessary not to forget to review the history and to conclude the teaching experience and shortage, which is more beneficial to the future prosperity and development of educational administration discipline.Based on the11conferences themes of Chinese Educational Administration Discipline Academic Committee over the past30years, the thesis is discussed from the perspective of educational administration discipline research orientation, with historical research and literature research, complementarily combining the statistical method of study.First, a brief history of the Chinese Educational Administration Discipline Academic Committee’s superior academic committee of The Educational Administrative Branch of Chinese Association of Education and its predecessor School Administration Research Association will be reviewed, in order to clarify the lines of the history evolution of the Association.Second, the themes of11conferences held by Chinese Educational Administration Discipline Academic Committee from1991to2011are briefly introduced, and the themes are divided into primary themes including educational administration basic theory, educational administration and school administration, which are divided into ten secondary themes including the discipline construction, theoretical construction, method exploration, educational policy and legal, educational system and reform, educational supervision and evaluation, school leader, schools improvement, school culture, teachers and students. And then all these topics will be analyzed in tenns of content and trend changes to find out educational administration basic theory research which will show trend of decline and the single change in content, and the educational administrative problems of the research which will show stable trend and little change in content, and the school administration research which will show rising trend and multivariate change in content.Finally, the thesis summarized more than30years of educational administration discipline research orientation showing that partial performance experience outweighed academic research, root of school increasingly made some prominent and micro practice diversified research developed flourishingly, as a result of the subject consciousness, education reform and social reform. However, the practice research lags behind a little and research inequalities and cooperation lacks research too. Consequently, scholars working in educational administration should pay attention to the local study, strengthen the research cooperation, explore multiple studies and strengthen the practice research, so as to promote booming development of the educational administration discipline.
