At present, the curriculum reform of basic education has entered into a new stage, including the steps of summarizing the experience, improving the systems, breaking through difficulties and making a deep promotion. Generally speaking, the curriculum reform of basic education has been influenced by the social environment, especially restricted by the the relevant system and policy. Although the new curriculum reform has made some achievements, there are still many difficulties and problems. The social environment, especially the group of students’parents, makes a significant influence on the curriculum reform of basic education, which has caught the attention of the educational department.In order to make a comprehensive understanding of the current social environment of the new curriculum reform situation in Zhejing province, the thesis firstly clears up the researches and problems about the social environment of the new curriculum reform from both the academic circles and the public opinions. At the same time, the paper also collects a large number of relevant policy documents and has a rough realization of the current situation. Besides the parents groups, the social environment here includes the teaching assistant market, the media focus of attention and so on. Secondly, the paper works out the "Questionnaire of the middle and primary school parents’viewpoints as the participants in the new curriculum reform", and gives out1800questionnaires in all to36schools, which are selected by the way of stratified random sampling. Finally, the essay makes a SPSS data analysis, and gives parents’involvement in the situation of new curriculum reform in Zhejiang Province, their satisfaction and its influencing factors. The essay also analyses the existing problems and causes through a later interview, and then offers some policy recommendations.The research shows that parents’ willingness to the participation in the new curriculum reform is higher than before, but the effect is not obvious. Students’ normal study pressure does not significantly change;"alleviating the burdens on students" is not optimal. The teaching assistant market is still popular among parents, which is the important auxiliary tool of students’studies. It is found that parents are not satisfied with the teaching assistant market through the satisfaction survey of the new curriculum reform for basic education, and the phenomenon of paying more attention to the profits but less attention to the quality is serious. The participation channels provided by schools, education administrative departments are not accepted by parents. Parents only know about the head teachers, but know little about the subject teachers. According to the actual situation of investigation, the paper finally gives the suggestion of the policy how to react to the parents’participation in the curriculum reform, and then constructs the parents’ support system.
