Facing the challenge of information and technology, the competition of education and talents at the turn of the 21 st century, the world’s leading education developed countries have entered the waves of the education reforms. China promulgated the Decision on the Basic Education Reform and Development of State Council(in 1999) and the promulgation of the Compendium of Basic Curriculum Reform(trial)( in 2001), aiming at launching the basic education curriculum and teaching reform for the purpose of “deepening education reform, fully promoting quality-oriented education”, which marked the launch of the newly round basic education reform. The curriculum reform was initiated with the characteristics of government-leading, experts-guiding and teachers- participating. The specific methods are: from top to down, wholly advanced, concept guiding, experimental exploration, gradually spreading, facing the whole country. A lot of theoretical and pratical results has been achieved.Based on that, this research follows the general logic of the literature retrieval, the present situation, rational reflection, and practical strategy, that is, to scan the current situation of basic education curriculum reform in ten years following by setting the core concepts, to certain the achievements and face the problems. While seizing the problems and the cruxes and analyzing the Subjects and their behaviors, the research analyzes the motivation and mechanism of the obligation trend from curriculum to classroom of the basic education curriculum reform in new century, puts forward the idea and possible countermeasures. Four parts including seven chapters are included as followings:Firstly, to examine the present situation of Chinese basic education curriculum reform in New Century. There is no denying that the Chinese basic education curriculum reform in New Century has obtained some achievements include: promoted the spread of advanced educational concepts; basically established the new curriculum system with Chinese characteristics, which meets the requirements of the times; enacted and issued new curriculum plans and text courses; established a relatively perfect teacher training system. But it also has some problems: more emphasis on theoretical curriculum than on practical curriculum, more emphasis on institutional curriculum than on behavioral curriculum, more emphasis on text courses than on experienced curriculum. The problems mainly lie in three aspects: the confine of “text center doctrine”; the misleading of “knowledge center doctrine”; the shackles of “test center doctrine”.Secondly, to analyze the necessity of the trend from curriculum to classroom of Chinese basic education curriculum reform from the perspective of should-be-what. And points out the focus of the new curriculum reform needs to change from curriculum to classroom. First of all, classroom is the main position of curriculum reform, and classroom teaching is the most basic work in school education. Furthermore, classroom teaching ensures the quality of basic education, accordingly the classroom teaching quality determines the quality of school talent cultivation. Besides, the reason to realize the trend from curriculum to classroom is just because the problems of the curriculum reform are eventually solved in class. The guide of the compulsory education curriculum standards in all subjects of 2011 is also pointing to classroom teaching, which sets a pole that classroom teaching is the center of the basic education curriculum reform.Thirdly, to elaborate the Subject and its behavior of the future basic education curriculum reform. Based on the definitions of Subject, Subject of curriculum, the Subject of the basic education curriculum reform, the paper respectively expounds the status of teacher Subject and student Subject. And points out that to put the teaching Subject back to its place is an essential requirement for the trend of the basic education curriculum reform. The future basic education curriculum reform needs the teaching Subject back to its place as well as the behavior of the teaching Subject: the teachers in terms of Subject, need to actively change their roles, strengthen the reflective practice, promote the curriculum awareness, develop the curriculum, improve the classroom interaction, achieve the professional development; the students in terms of Subject, need to positively change their learning styles and the way of communication, do autonomous learning, cooperative learning and inquiry learning, and realize the shift from points learning to ability learning, from closed learning to open learning.Lastly, to put forward some practical strategies which meet the trend from curriculum to classroom of the basic education curriculum reform. These strategies are as following: firstly, to establish the “three basic concepts”, that is, classroom-based, teacher-student-based, teaching-based. Secondly, to respect the teacher’s subjective position and implement their course empowerment, including the teachers’ professional development, independent growth, curriculum decision-making, curriculum design, curriculum development, curriculum evaluation, etc. Thirdly, to highlight the students’ subjective position, and promote the autonomous learning. Fourthly, to build a strong school culture and advance the trend from curriculum to classroom. Fifthly, to strengthen the school-based training and promote the teachers’ professional development.A brief review of the research result is given in the conclusion part to make clear the trend from curriculum to classroom of Chinese basic education curriculum reform, and points out, in order to realize the trend, some further researches should be given to the class of different perspectives of sociology, ecology, ethics,etc.), teacher profession development, teachers and students themselves as curriculum resourses.
