Under the new curriculum reform, history textbooks have achieved the changes "an outline only a book"in "several books in a standard". From the history textbooks now being used, it can be seen that the political history perspective has been changed. It highlights social history perspective concerned recent years. Perspective of social history used in high school history textbooks has great significance. It not only has a tremendous impact on the history of the student’s learning, but also guides students’ attention to his or her life, to understand the progress of society, to respect for others, to live together with others. This paper uses the fourth features of the history (II)"the changes of social life in modern China". By preparation of the RenJiao and YueLu version of the topic, to analysis the application status of social history perspective in high school history textbooks. After that, I expound the advantages and disadvantages of the two versions of textbooks and make some suggestions for history teachers on how to make better use of textbooks.This paper use historian’s theory, educational psychology, history of education, history curriculum and teaching of the theory as a guide. I use comparative method to analyze the writes about this topic on Renjiao and Yuelu version of quantitative statistics, qualitative analysis. The thesis consists of the following three parts:(1) Introduction. This section focuses on the background of the present study, the research and the significance of the study, the choice of versions.(2) Body. The body is divided into three parts:The first part is that history textbook principles to be followed in dealing with social history perspective. It includes the structure which focuses on the overall history, diversification, and the choice of content on the principle of objectivity, interesting principle, inspired; the second part is to compare two versions of the written of "the changes of social life in modern China", including the topic content comparison of the structural design, text comparison, and text auxiliary systems. By comparison, we can find two versions of textbooks regardless the characteristics of the social history perspective on the content selection and presentation reflects. Focus the overall history, diversity on the structure and focus objectivity, interesting and inspiring on the selection and content expressed. The third part above the advantages and disadvantages of the two versions of textbooks, we can found that Renjiao strictly compliance with the requirements of standard, description of the thematic content is relatively complete. It attends to details, pay attention to the guidance on students’ learning, but the language is not vivid enough and the description is not completely break through the political perspective. Due to the limitations of the content and structure design, Yuelu version misses lots of the knowledge of the topic. It results in incomplete knowledge system which is not conducive to student learning. But it’s very readable for new and unique perspective. The topic suggests that teachers should be in-depth grasp of textbooks, learning historian’s new method, using a variety of teaching methods to make better use of textbooks which are in the social history perspective.(3) Conclusion. This part makes the expectations of social history perspective in school history teaching and roles changed by teachers and students.
