This research is focusing on the bad present situation and negative influences ofUtilitarianism in Chinese education. It raises a problem of how to improve the Chineseteaching and motivate the students’ development in body and mind. Based on the knowledgeabout leisure and leisure education in home and abroad, this research sets up a logic startpoint that relates the awareness of leisure with Chinese education. And the concept aboutawareness of leisure is defined in this paper. We advocate doing some thinking from thisangle of bringing leisure awareness into Chinese education in order to improve the currentsituation.The Chinese education of Utilitarianism has much malpractice. It makes the exams asthe center goals. It neglects the purpose of cultivating students’ accomplishment in Chineselanguage. And. students’ creation is killed. Moreover, their body and mind are both hurtbecause of the heavy study burden that is bad for cultivating students’ perfect personality. Sowe suggest bring leisure awareness into junior high school Chinese education. For leisureawareness can guide Chinese education in thought: because of bringing leisure awareness, thesubjectivity of human in the education life is highlighted; the level of aesthetic life ineducation activities will be promoted. And leisure awareness also has practical benefits forChinese education, because it guarantees the accumulation and promotion of students’accomplishment.This paper takes the two important parts of Chinese teaching in the junior highschool——the reading teaching and writing teaching as an example to discuss the strategyway of bringing leisure awareness into Chinese education. The Chinese reading teachingguided by leisure awareness mainly has to pay attention to the following three aspects: first,to mining the life-meaning factors of teaching content; second, to guide students’ aestheticexperience in the process of teaching; third, to care the people in class, building a humanisticatmosphere of learning and teaching. So that it can make students better be nourished by theinfluence of the humanistic spirit and obtain more spiritual pleasure and wealthy life experience.The patterns of Chinese composition teaching under the guidance of leisureawareness, can mainly be the two types: on one hand,to promote freedom of writing in class,that gives back students subjectivity in writing;on the other hand,to promote writing diariesand essays, let students enjoy the freedom to express themselves happily.
