Situation teaching method is a new method in physical education, is recognizedby people increasingly, through the provision of the relevant story, the creation of atypical scene or atmosphere, with its vivid imagery, thought-provoking, and beingperceived. I took the modern teaching theory as the instruction, and study on the basisof previous studies carry on the summary and analysis. The situation teaching methodused in the capital university of physical education and sports basketball electivecourse technology teaching section, its goal is to verify in basketball elective coursesteaching section through situational teaching technical feasibility and effectiveness,the main task in this paper is to further improve the teaching effect of the basketballtechnique.This paper mainly using the literature material method, the interview surveyprocedure, the questionnaire survey procedure, teaching contrast experiment method,mathematical statistics and logic analysis method investigation and research, from theanalysis of the situational teaching situation at home and abroad to start. With thepedagogy and the psychology is presented on the basis of teaching situation in thebasketball teaching should abide by the principle of use: scientific rational principleand practical application principles, the principle of students’ subjective. Situationteaching method in the teaching practice of specific operating procedures: setsituation, student experience, teachers teach students practice guidance, studentspractice, and practical application. The experimental research results are as follows:1Situation teaching method can be in the capital university of physical educationand sports elective course teaching technology application. With the teaching hoursand the teaching condition is roughly same, and teaching effect is better than thetraditional teaching method.2Basketball teaching process technology through situational teaching methodcan meet the students’ development and demand, its good to arouse and the cultivationof the students’ interest and creation enthusiasm, its Benefited for the students sports skills.3Basketball technique teaching process through situational teaching methodscan make full use of the students’ subjectivity and the leading role of teachers, helpstudents to learn basic basketball technology with positive initiative, help students toobtain the actual combat technical movement in basketball.
