Basketball is now the core of the Olympic Games,is a score-based physical confrontation of the sports,because of its unique interest in the world has been quickly popularized and developed.In 1896 the basketball movement first spread to our country Tianjin,has attracted the broad masses to like and pursue.Nowadays,no matter in primary and middle schools,colleges or even kindergartens,most of them have carried out basketball courses,and the optional basketball course in colleges and universities has become an important component of physical education in colleges and universities of our country,at present,the majority of basketball elective courses in colleges and universities in our country still use a relatively single teaching model,teaching content is also relatively old,some colleges and universities still have the phenomenon of lack of teaching equipment and venues,and the teacher to the student study condition master degree also to be in need of further enhancement,therefore the university physical education teaching reform is imperative.Diversified teaching method is a kind of teaching mode which integrates various teaching methods and multimedia equipment according to students’ actual learning situation.This paper aims at the problems existing in the teaching of basketball course of public physical education in colleges and universities,combining with the teaching characteristics of basketball events,this paper probes into the teaching effect and implementation path of applying the diversified teaching method to the college basketball elective course,and provides reference for the reform,perfection and improvement of the teaching method of the college basketball elective course.By using the methods of experiment,Mathematical Statistics and questionnaire,a series of teaching experiments were carried out on 64 students(all male)in two classes of basketball elective course of 2021 Jiangxi Science and Technology Normal University,including heuristic teaching,game teaching,group cooperation,competition teaching,role conversion,video feedback,etc.,the aim is to probe into the effect of implementing diversified teaching methods in the optional course of public sports basketball in colleges and universities,to stimulate students’ intrinsic learning needs,to strengthen students’ learning ability,and to cultivate students’ good sports habits and consciousness,it can be a reference for the research of this discipline.The experimental results show that:1.Physical Quality: after the experiment,there was no significant difference between the experimental class and the control class in standing long jump and50-meter run(P > 0.05),after the experiment,there was significant difference in the test results of the four-line turn-around run(p < 0.05),2.which represented the special physical quality of basketball.Basketball Basic Skills: in the basic basketball skills(free throw,40 seconds to the wall pass)detected by the difference is not significant(p > 0.05),the half-court dribbling basket test results showed that(p < 0.05).3.In the aspect of exercise attitude:(1)there were significant differences in the dimensions of behavior attitude,goal attitude and behavior intention between before and after the experiment in the control class(p < 0.05),there was no significant difference in behavior cognition,behavior habit,emotion experience,subjective standard and sense of control(p >0.05).(2)after the experiment,there were significant differences(p < 0.01)in four dimensions: behavioral attitude,goal attitude,behavioral intention and emotional experience,there was no significant difference in behavior cognition,behavior habit,subjective standard and sense of control(p > 0.05).(3)after the experiment,there were significant differences between the experimental class and the control class in the dimensions of target attitude,behavior intention and emotional experience(p < 0.05),there was no significant difference in behavior attitude,behavior cognition,behavior habit,subjective standard and behavior sense of control(p > 0.05).Conclusions:1.The two teaching methods can improve students’ physical quality and basic basketball skills,but in dribbling and shooting ability,the diversified teaching method is better than the traditional teaching mode.2.The diversified teaching method has a better effect on correcting students’ learning attitude,improving students’ learning interest,autonomous learning ability and cooperative learning ability,the diversified teaching method has a better effect on promoting the all-round development of students’ quality.3.Exercise Attitude: after the experiment,the students in the two classes had a significant improvement in the attitude to physical exercise compared with the pre-experiment,but compared with the two classes,the experimental class adopting diversified teaching method has a better overall attitude to exercise than the control class.4.From the students’ evaluation of teaching satisfaction,the application of basketball skills,the students’ performance in teaching competitions,and the students’ feedback on the arrangement of classroom teaching contents,the diversified teaching method is better than the traditional classroom in the teaching effect.
