On The Cultivation Of Contemporary College Students’Sense Of Social Responsibilities

The cultivation of contemporary college students’sense of social responsibilities is the requirements to make students’ individual personality sound, to construct the socialist harmonious society, and to establish the socialist political civilization. Against the background of building the socialist democratic politics of our country, we should deeply understand the concept of social responsibility, put a citizen’s political accountability into the cultivating course of college students’ sense of social responsibilities. Currently college students of our country own social responsibilities on the whole, but some problems, such as valuing self-conscious responsibility above social responsibility, valuing public moral responsibility above civic responsibility, separating responsible awareness from responsible behavior, and a more and more practical and utilitarian tendency, have been brought about by the defects in the ideas and systems of traditional ideological and political education, the negative influence from our social environment, the shortage of college education of social responsibility, and the elements from students themselves, etc. For the reasons why these problems occur, this dissertation will explore some useful cultivating means of college students’ sense of social responsibilities from5aspects, such as laying weight on it, perfecting college educational systems, adding new contents, improving cultivating methods, and optimizing the family and society environment.
