With the development of society and the improvement of living standard,the state of people’s health has improved greatly. The means of production and life causes thedecrease of physical activity and the increase of psychological pressure, which makes people putmore attention to their own health. PE lesson is an important way to improve the National Health,therefore the reform of PE lesson is highly regarded as an important act in various countries all overthe world.The Decision of the State Council of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Chinaon deepening the reform of education for improving the overall quality of people points thatschools should set up idea about the importance of health and enhance the work of sports. TheCourse Standard of PE and Health provides the demand for the contents of the teaching ofgymnastics. Gymnastics has various style and contents; therefore it not only can improve physicalquality, but can improve our confidence to overcome difficulties, which is important for students. Inorder to provide theory evidence for teachers, the thesis tends to study the teaching method ofgymnastic in primary school. The thesis analyses the teaching method of gymnastic teaching forprimary school students. And it is focused on how to choose the teaching content and teachingmethod through investigations and adjust the teaching method during the procedure of test.The study shows that the way of leading-in and exploration can bring the students’ enthusiasminto learning and the joyful teaching method makes students master the skill well based on theirnature. What’s more, the teaching method associated with custom can improve their culturaleducation.
