with the development of education curriculum reform, theeducation curriculum reform on middle schools are official beginning. During middleschoo《lSports And Health》course reform,“sports games” have its special function onentertainment, education and fitness, and make an important influence on bringing upteen-age’s sense of social responsibility, the wholesome personality, spirit ofinnovation, practice ability,and environmental awareness. It’s will become importantcontent of courses and method on《Sports And Health》course. In this paper,《SportsAnd Health》course on middle schools, Chengdu City are used as research object,research the “sports games” elements during the course reform, find the relatedencourage and restrict elements. Theoretical and practical significance are exist oncourse reform’s sustainable development in high school,Chengdu City, and there isalso reference value on high schools’ course reform in China.The methods including documents, questionnaire, field investigation, mathematicalstatistics and analysis, research the connotation classify and function on sports games,research the application on sports games based on its choice, influence and effect. Theresult shows that there are some disadvantage on 《Sports And Health》course.1. The choice of sports games are blind and imbalance. application forma andenjoyment in sports games are simple,and short of difficulty when teachers choosesports games.2. Many constraint exist in the sports games, including climate, court, instrument.Teachers are short of understanding students’ psychological characteristics on wideinterests, emotional instability, rebel psycology. Teachers are short of spirit of“physique education”“people first” and “technical education”, are short of theoreticalresearch on sports games application,limited in explanation, organization andmanagement, terribly ignore the judge rewards and punishments.3. The application effect in the sports games are not good enough, vulgar taste insports games, arrangement imbalance when sports games used as auxiliary education.not pay more attention on improve social adaptation and mental health.According to the shortage, some suggestion are put forward: improve teachers’Specialized Accomplishment and theoretical research in sports games application.Choose and use sports games reasonable. Improve sports games application effect;Explore students by experiencing the fun of sports, promoting mental health andimproving the students’ social adaptation ability.
