The Ministry of Education issued the Curriculum Standards of Physical Education and Health for Compulsory Education(2022 Edition)(hereinafter referred to as the "New Curriculum Standards").The new curriculum standard was officially implemented in the autumn semester of 2022.Although affected by the epidemic,as a programed document for the development of basic physical education in the next decade,it will lead the direction of middle school physical education in the future.In order to improve students’ health level comprehensively,the new curriculum standard puts forward the new sports guiding ideology of "health first".This points out the way forward for the front-line physical education teachers,who can make full use of this broad platform to construct their own teaching ideas.Can from the teaching content,teaching methods,teaching means,teaching media,teaching design and many other aspects to study and think.Through teaching,students’ physical,psychological and social adaptation can achieve a good state.The reform of middle school physical education has changed from quality education to the direction of "health first",which is a new challenge to the front-line physical education teachers,but also a better opportunity.Especially the front-line physical education teachers in remote mountainous areas,although the teaching conditions are limited,but also to give play to their own subjective initiative,positive thinking,study,and according to the actual situation of their own school to carry out targeted teaching reform,especially to firmly grasp the "health first" guiding ideology,show their own teaching ability,complete the students’ sports participation goal,Motor skills goals,physical health goals,mental health goals and social adjustment goals.Sports games can enhance the interest and enthusiasm of students in learning,and also make the teaching objectives to be better completed.It is one of the most effective teaching methods to promote the healthy development of students’ physical and mental health.In order to better achieve the goal of physical education,this study focuses on the guidance of the educational thought of "health first",the flexible use of sports games in physical education classroom,through sports game teaching to stimulate students’ strong interest in sports,and constantly research and develop new sports games for students to learn and use,so that students can learn in a happy and happy way,and promote the healthy development of students’ physical and mental.In this paper,using the method of literature,questionnaire,interview,experiment and other research methods,taking 85 students from Class 3 and Class 4,Grade 8 of jingyu County No.3 Middle School as the experimental investigation object,taking sports games used in physical education as the research object,arranging various sports games suitable for middle school physical education,and introducing them into the classroom teaching for teaching experiments.The students’ learning interest,learning motivation,physical quality and sports skills were investigated and analyzed through teaching experiments.The results show that: jingyu County No.3 Middle School sports games applied in junior middle school physical education teaching,the students’ physical education learning positive emotion obviously increased,learning motivation enhanced,invested learning emotion doubled,the effect of physical education teaching significantly improved;The continuous improvement of students’ sports habits has laid a good foundation for the formation of lifelong sports.Students’ physical quality,sports skills,mental health,social adaptation have been greatly improved and changed.Therefore,it is suggested that in physical education teaching,according to the physical and mental characteristics of students,age characteristics,lose no time to use sports games,cultivate students’ interest in sports,enhance learning motivation,improve students’ physical quality and sports skills,and make students develop good sports habits,to lay the foundation for lifelong sports.
